The Driver-Mover is responsible for picking up donated items and delivering customer purchases across Collier, Lee, and Hendry Counties within a faith-based, safety-oriented team environment. This role requires maintaining high levels of customer service, ensuring safe operation of large box trucks, and working cooperatively with various customers.

GENERAL SUMMARY

A Driver-Mover with St. Matthew’s House picks up donated items and delivers customer purchases throughout Collier, Lee, and Hendry Counties. We operate in a safety-oriented, faith-based team environment that emphasizes organization, teamwork, compassion, efficiency, and excellent customer service. St. Matthew’s House is faith based 501(c)(3) charitable organization that exists to transform lives in a spiritual environment that is both compassionate and disciplined.

Requirements

Drivers must have a Valid Florida Driver’s License
Drivers must always maintain a high level of customer service, including (but not limited to) safety, courtesy, and positive communication, and ensure that other staff do the same.
Drivers must be able to handle safely large box trucks and be able to maneuver in and out of tight areas.
Drivers must be trustworthy, work well in a team environment, and maintain a neat, professional appearance. The ability to work safely and co-operatively in a variety of situations with a variety of customers is essential.
Drivers must be able to lift and carry more than 75lbs. up and down stairs for extended periods of time.
Some overtime and work on some holidays will be required.
Must Pass an MVR

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Minimum 2 years trucking, moving, and customer service experience (or related experience) essential.

Travel Demands: Flexibility in work hours; this position requires some overtime.

Confidentiality: Works with confidential information.

Mental/Visual Demands: Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry more than 75lbs. up and down stairs for extended periods of time in all seasons.

Working Areas: Warehouses, trucks, and donor pickup sites including businesses and private homes.
