Business Bank (BB) offers a wide range of services and solutions to our customers in the Small Business segment through to our larger corporate customers in Major Client Group, including Regional and Agribusiness customers. We work closely with our product, risk and segment channels to deliver strong customer outcomes while operating within a robust governance and risk framework.
This role sits within the Broker, Agency and Specialist Services (BASS) team and plays a critical role in shaping how we design, govern, deliver and continuously improve broker-related initiatives across Business Banking.
Do work that matters
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Broker Governance & Development, the Business Improvement Manager is accountable for identifying business needs, designing effective solutions, and delivering operational, brand, governance and capability initiatives for our broker, referral partner and third‑party channels and in support of Business Banking strategic priorities.
This is a broad, end‑to‑end role spanning business analysis, change delivery, brand and education enablement, governance oversight and continuous improvement, ensuring strong customer, compliance, performance and risk outcomes.
In this role you have development opportunities to support your growth, specifically, you will have access to the Broker and Agency Leadership Team, work on ad-hoc projects and provide data analysis to the General Manager BASS.
More specifically, you will:
- Business Analysis & Change: Gather and analyse business and regulatory data to identify issues and opportunities, translate needs into requirements and plans, support and deliver change initiatives, and manage scope and alignment.
- Brand, Education & Engagement: Coordinate broker/aggregator brand and education initiatives, organise CPD/webcasts/industry events, develop and distribute engagement materials and communications.
- Governance & Compliance: Maintain broker governance frameworks, develop governance documents, produce risk reports, and conduct assurance activities such as performing audits and monitoring complaints.
- Capability & Resources: Support training and accreditation program reviews and updates, and maintain operational tools, forms, and resources for consistent execution.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to deliver results, manage expectations, resolve issues, and promote a customer-focused, risk-aware culture.
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in business analysis, business improvement, governance, risk or change delivery within a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of broker, third‑party or financial services operating models
- Proven ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A structured, risk‑aware approach with the ability to operate autonomously
- Experience developing governance frameworks, training, or enablement materials (desirable)
