Description
Position: Compliance Manager
Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 Yearly
Benefits:
- Health Insurance (Medical, Vision, Dental)
- PTO (Vacation, Sick)
- Equity Shares (ESOP)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain licenses, credentials, contracts, and accreditations in good standing — the department's #1 priority — by managing state (DHCS/DSS) audits and Plans of Correction (POCs), renewals (DHCS, DSS, CLIA, etc.), TJC accreditation and Environment of Care surveys, payer quality-of-care, county audits, and Corrective Actions.
- Execute ongoing compliance activities and internal audit systems to ensure sustained adherence to governing bodies and industry standards, including 24-72 hour, census, discharge, and medication audits; Visible Hand safety checks reporting; CQI committee meetings; and regular policy & procedure revisions.
- Lead targeted improvement initiatives focused on addressing deficiencies from audits/accreditation findings and enhancing operational systems, such as employee files management, Kipu EMR data clean-up, development of Kipu API reports, and creation of new internal audit processes — prioritizing quick wins to achieve compliant levels before further refinement.
- Provide as-needed support to programs and leadership, including assisting Program Managers or VPs with operational needs, troubleshooting Kipu EMR issues, and coordinating team-building or morale initiatives — while always protecting higher-priority compliance deadlines and obligations.
- Balance reactive support with proactive compliance management, ensuring foundational regulatory requirements (Priority #1) are never compromised, even amid emerging requests.
