Job Summary:
The Tool Die Maker 3 is responsible for building, maintaining and troubleshooting Progressive Dies, fixtures, jigs, inspection gages used in the manufacturing process of metal stamping, assembly and automation.
Responsibilities
- Building, repair and maintain stamping tools, per design requirements.
- Modify existing tooling per customer changes and requirements.
- Knowledge and ability to perform rebuilds, sharpen and repair blanking dies.
- Ability to troubleshoot press and die problems.
- Perform changeovers on multiple part tooling.
- Ability to train other team members
- Reporting daily time entry with description of work performed.
- Advising and reporting usage of spare tooling components and shop supplies.
- Other duties as deemed necessary
Requirements
- Computer skills is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to work from verbal and written instructions.
- Team oriented
- Self-motivated
- TMA certificate or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Knowledge and operation of all tool room equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of proper die build procedures
- Knowledge of punch press equipment and metal forming processes
