This position is full-time, 10-hour shifts, 4-days a week, with benefits (listed below). The hiring process includes a background check and drug screen (including marijuana).  


SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Springs Rescue Mission considers every position of ministry a vital and valued part of our team. The Campus Coordinator is a frontline operational leadership role responsible for stewarding hospitality, safety, and order across the campus. Campus Coordinators shape the emotional and operational climate every shift. They lead with hospitality and preserve that hospitality through disciplined safety and consistent standards. They steward an environment that is calm, relational, and controlled — where dignity is protected and forward movement is possible. This role requires emotional steadiness, sound judgment, disciplined execution, and the consistent application of trauma-informed care principles in a dynamic 24/7 setting. The core purpose of this role is to Steward Hospitality, Maintain Order, Uphold standards with respect, and Invite Movement. Campus Coordinators are trusted leaders on the ground.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Hospitality & Presence

  • Welcome guests with professionalism and clarity. 
  • Set expectations during intake and throughout the shift. 
  • Maintain visible, steady presence in assigned areas. 
  • Model calm tone and Christ-centered character. 
  • Support volunteers respectfully.

Safety & Order

  • Enforce campus, shelter, and program standards consistently.
  • Intervene early to prevent escalation. 
  • Maintain clear and healthy boundaries. 
  • Execute removal protocol when necessary and notify Shift Lead. 
  • Respond in person and in a timely manner to behavioral concerns within assigned areas and notify Shift Lead of serious incidents.
  • Submit timely and accurate incident reports. 
  • Conduct routine security and safety rounds. 
  • Do not engage in unsafe physical confrontation. 
  • Apply trauma-informed care principles when enforcing standards and engaging in behavioral intervention.
  • Emotional regulation under pressure is required.

Operational Stewardship

  • Campus Coordinators rotate through operational posts, including:
  • Welcome Center: Single Point of Entry (intake and access control) 
  • Shelter Care 
  • Day centers
  • Walking the campus
  • Camera monitoring and documentation

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting professional intake and maintaining accurate client data.
  • Managing shelter placement and guest movement. 
  • Completing shift documentation and reports.
  • Monitoring cameras and campus systems when assigned.
  • Submitting maintenance or IT work orders as needed. 
  • Ensure documentation reflects objective, accurate, and professional reporting standards.
  • Operational discipline protects the mission and builds trust.

Relational Engagement

  • Provide encouragement and accountability to guests.
  • Reinforce expectations clearly and respectfully.
  • Offer prayer support when requested. 
  • Facilitate warm handoffs to Program staff when appropriate. This ensures that Campus Coordinators do not carry caseloads, but steward the environment where transformation becomes possible.
  • Assists and supports volunteers in their service
  • Attends all required meetings and reviews SRM emails regularly
  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.



Requirements


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  •  Minimum high school diploma or GED, associate degree preferred.
  •  Previous experience working within a Christian addiction recovery environment desired.
  •  Previous experience in shelter, recovery, behavioral health, hospitality, law enforcement, or crisis environments
  •  CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
  •  If in recovery, a minimum of two years of sustained sobriety is required

  •  Emotional steadfastness and boundary confidence.
  •  Ability to handle crisis and unexpected situations with calm and clear thinking, demonstrating good analysis and judgment to bring resolution.

  •  Demonstrated ability to regulate emotions and maintain professional composure in dynamic and high-pressure environments. 
  •  Computer literate, able to use basic office equipment.
  •  Able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical computations.
  •  Flexibility in working hours, including on-call availability and willingness to work holidays as they coincide with regular shifts.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL FACTORS:

Occasionally = 1%-33%; frequently = 34%-66%; continuously = 67%-100%. 

Works in a typical shelter or housing unit environment.

Occasionally: sitting, must be able to lift to 40 pounds, bend or stretch, ability to climb stairs, exposure to outdoor or inclement weather

Frequently: walking, talking, manual dexterity

Continuously: adequate vision and hearing, good mental condition to withstand consistently medium to high levels of stress

Salary & benefits include the following: $17.50 hour DOE.

* Full benefits package to include: medical benefits with SRM paying 85% of the medical premium, voluntary Dental, Vision, Accident Plan, SRM-paid Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, and AD&D. Also offered are 8 paid holidays, 21 days of accruable PTO, and a 403b retirement plan with SRM-match after one (1) year, 100% vested beginning DOH; (Benefits are subject to change based on reevaluation or benefit plan changes annually.)

*Retention bonus paid quarterly for first year of employment. (Subject to change)

*Benefits begin at 1st of the following month after completing a full 30 days of employment (I.E. start date March 2, 2025, benefits initiate May 1, 2025).
