Job Description

1) Qualifications

  • Graduate/Chartered Engineer with over 12 years of experience.
  • Proven track record as a Project Engineer across multiple projects.

2) Business Development

  • Beginning to build a network of contacts.
  • Represent the company as ambassadors.

3) Project Role

  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer.
  • Capable of representing the company at the project level.
  • Take full responsibility for managing projects.
  • Manage both design and construction phases of projects.
  • Have a solid understanding of management and financial aspects.
  • Supervise a small team of engineers and technicians.
  • Accountable for delivering work within the agreed fee with the Project Manager.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Delivering tasks on time and within budget.
    • Controlling task costs.
    • Ensuring task quality.
    • Presenting to clients.
    • Monitoring Vos and additional costs.
    • Building project teams from internal and external resources.
    • Planning projects and managing resources.
    • Achieving 90% chargeable time.
    • Ensuring QA/QC procedures are followed and signed off for the department.

4) Company Role

  • Understand the company’s business plan, mission, and challenges.
  • Show leadership by managing your own team.
  • Contribute to the development of company procedures through active involvement in task groups.
  • Participate in team meetings and actively contribute to procedure development.
  • Conduct bi-annual performance reviews for your team, with support from Associates and Directors.
  • Provide feedback on company procedures using the feedback system.
  • Apply policies related to health & safety, quality, and training.

5) Engineering Function

  • Agree on design philosophy and core design principles.
  • Review and provide feedback on deliverables from Engineers and Technicians at key project stages.
  • Demonstrate overall technical competence.
  • Have knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, high-rise buildings, construction techniques, procurement methods, risk assessments, and claim assessments.
  • Be knowledgeable in analytical concepts.
  • Familiar with CAD standards and 3D working.

6) HSEQ Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to WME's HSEQ policies.
  • Implement and manage HSEQ procedures in the workplace.
  • Report any HSEQ incidents immediately to the WME HSEQ Department and legal authorities, if necessary.
  • Comply with client/contractor HSEQ requirements and complete site inductions before mobilizing on-site.
