Job Description

As a Provisional Psychologist, you will play an important role in supporting job seekers facing complex barriers. This is a varied, hands‑on role that will help you develop strong clinical foundations while making a real impact.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments across mental health, psychosocial, and vocational needs.
  • Offer person-centred counselling intervention as needed, utilising various evidence-based psychological methodologies.
  • Deliver practical strategies to support mental health and wellbeing.
  • Liaise with external providers, health professionals, and community services.
  • Work closely with Job Coaches and internal teams to support sustainable employment outcomes.
  • Provide guidance to staff regarding psychological services, where appropriate.

This role gives you exposure to diverse presentations and settings that accelerate your development as an emerging clinician.

Qualifications

You will bring:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology with eligibility for Provisional Registration with AHPRA.
  • Knowledge of assessment and intervention strategies
  • Strong communication and rapport‑building skills
  • Ability to write clear and accurate case notes and reports
  • A genuine passion for people and community impact
  • Willingness to learn, grow and take on feedback
  • Ability to obtain a Police Check and Working With Children Check
