About the Role

Description

Install, maintain and repair machinery and equipment in a safe and productive manner. Operate hand, machine and power tools, forklifts, manlifts, and welding and torch equipment.


1. Assemble and install equipment, using hand and power tools.

2. Align equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs.

3. Assemble machines, and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools or power tools.

4. Bolt parts, such as side and deck plates, jaw plates, and journals to basic assembly.

5. Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.

6. Position and erect equipment using blueprints and schematic drawings per pre-determine work procedures.

7. Attach moving parts and subassemblies with hand tools and power tools.

8. Measure, design and build custom fitted components as needed during course of project.

7. Operation Monitoring – Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure machine is working properly.

8. Able to work at certain heights.

9. Awareness of crane rigging
