Pay: $17.13/hr + average $10/hr in tips

Position Summary

As a member of our retail team, you will become an invaluable part of the Blazing Bagels team, ensuring that Blazing Bagels can provide that “Oh My Gosh” bagel experience to all of our customers and team members. In this role you will primarily be responsible for providing amazing customer service, ringing up customer orders, preparing mouthwatering sandwiches and bagels, and preparing espresso drinks. Our Retail Team Members are tasked with providing customers with super-fast service, a memorable and unique experience, as well as awesome bagels and sandwiches.

Job Responsibilities

• Keep things upbeat, friendly, and exciting for customers.
• Prepare quality sandwiches and bagel orders to company standards.
• Build important relationships and connections with customers and respond to their needs.
• Ensure that all retail facing environments are kept neat, tidy, stocked, and to company standards.
• Become an expert on the products that Blazing Bagels sells.
• Arrives to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in accordance with Blazing Bagels cleanliness and safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous café, food service, or restaurant experience required
• Successful completion of Blazing Bagels’ training program
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Familiarity with safe food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
• Excellent time management and task prioritization
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

Scheduling & Working Conditions

• Must be able to work scheduled shifts and arrive on time in appropriate dress
• Opening Shift: 5:00am–1:00pm
• Closing Shift: 8:00am–4:00pm
• Must be able to traverse the restaurant, lift up to 25 lbs, and stand for prolonged periods
