The Billing Manager oversees all Billing Department operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity of the patient accounts receivable system. This role works closely with Patient Financial Services, reception, medical records, and leadership to support organizational financial health. Strong knowledge of FQHC billing, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and state/federal program requirements is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Hire, lead, train, supervise, and evaluate Billing staff
- Facilitate patient and staff billing inquiries
- Develop and maintain billing procedures & policies
- Ensure accurate posting of charges, payments, adjustments and write-offs
- Monitor accounts receivable and billing workflows
- Oversee billing for Medicare, Medicaid and other payers

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field and a minimum of four years’ experience in a health care setting, demonstrating an increase in scope of responsibilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer/PC literate: Excel, Window, MS Office environments.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Coder
- OCHIN Epic experience
