Position Summary:
As an Assistant Warehouse Manager at PROTECH Delivery & Installation, you will be responsible to lead receiving, storage, value-added servicing and distribution operations. You will ensure efficient, safe and compliant warehouse processes, meet productivity targets, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically managing warehouse operations and delivery routes in line with company policies and objectives.
- Handle tools and materials in a hand – on environment.
- Perform physical labor including lifting, moving, and positioning appliances.
- Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and maintenance activities.
- Design and maintain efficient warehouse layout and optimal space utilization.
- Implement and enforce company operational procedures and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company warehousing, handling, shipping and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory control and reconcile physical stock with main Warehouse.
- Plan work schedules, assign tasks, evaluate performance and conduct appraisals.
- Recruit, train, coach and motivate Driver teams.
- Manage driver routes.
- Manage the returns.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management procedures, KPIs and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and drive operational efficiency.
- Leadership skills with staff management and development experience.
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to operate a variety of vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:?
- Walk, stand, operate equipment/vehicles up to 8 hours per day;?
- Use hands to handle, or feel objects and controls such as those on telephones and computers, boxes, and shipping materials;?
- talk and hear in person and on the telephone;?
- Reach with hands and arms, grasp objects, push/pull objects of 10-50 pounds, twist the upper body, rotate the wrist, and use finger dexterity writing and using the computer.?
