Job Title:      Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant 

Salary:          $100 - $105 per hour

Location:     Tustin, CA

Position Purpose:  Under the supervision of Director of Psychiatry and Director of Mental Health, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management services to patients within an integrated medical clinic setting. This position plays a key role in supporting whole-person care by addressing both the physical and behavioral health needs of patients. The PNP/PPA collaborates closely with primary care providers, mental health therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered treatment. The role emphasizes early intervention, evidence-based care, and a compassionate approach to improving mental health outcomes and overall well-being. 


Core Duties and responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  1. Obtain patient histories and perform mental health evaluations per accepted practice standards
  2. Order and evaluate appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies and initiate appropriate actions as findings indicate
  3. Implement treatment plans in accordance with clinical practice guidelines and protocols
  4. Collaborate effectively with other behavioral health team members, medical providers, and all facility staff
  5. Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards
  6. Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for the patients
  7. Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic intervention, assess, and coordinate patient follow up care; including referring patients to higher levels of care as needed
  8. Maintain the confidentiality of PHI
  9. Assumes responsibility and accountability for time management, professional relationships, and interpersonal interactions within the job setting
  10. Maintains continuing educational requirements necessary for licensure and certifications.
  11. Maintains membership in appropriate professional organizations
  12. Provides appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care ensuring that records are detailed, complete, and comply with related standards and regulations
  13. Other duties assigned, within scope

Education, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Previous Nurse Practitioner work experience in mental/behavioral health required
  • Current License as a Nurse Practitioner to practice in California
  • Possesses a Federal DEA Controlled Substance Certificate II through V
  • BLS Certification

Work Schedule:

  •  This position is scheduled for three days per week, working Wednesdays at our Tustin Clinic and Thursdays and Fridays at our Garden Grove Clinic.
