About the Role

Overview

POSITION: FINANCE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

 

The responsibilities of the person who takes on this position will be to gain a full understanding and support our company’s accounting operations and the associated revenue and expense cycle.

 

You will also work with and support the other accounting and finance team members when necessary. You would be required to understand our entire financial reporting process, from beginning to end, and ensure the timely completion of all assigned daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities.

 

You will be directly reporting to our Finance Manager.

 

Assigned responsibilities may change from time to time as you become more efficient and supportive of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  • Support the monthly closing processes and the preparation of the monthly financial statements and other management reports.

  • Reconciles key balance sheet accounts and analyzes P&L variances.

  • Researches and reports any discrepancies and proposes any necessary correcting entries

  • Verify and audit documentation on disbursement requests.

  • Periodically audits accounting policies and written procedures for compliance and or improvements.

  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Act as reliever in the absence of any team member.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s/College degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, Management Accounting and related field.

  • CPA, at least 5 years total accounting experience.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance including payroll tax reporting, PEZA, BIR, SEC, LGU and others.

  • Able to interpret and analyze data across multiple systems and data sources.

  • Must have experience in using Quickbooks Online, knowledge using payroll systems is an advantage.

  • Good working knowledge of Google apps (sheets, docs and slides) and Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Ability to work with deadlines and less supervision.

  • Solid understanding of internal controls and monthly reconciliation requirements.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong attention to details.

  • US based Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or IFRS experience a plus.
