POSITION SUMMARY:
The ideal server would be able to anticipate guest needs and provide outstanding customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Possess an innate desire to provide superior service and keep your guest experience at the forefront. Logic, drive and a genuine love for people are necessities.
- Excellent communication skills. Demonstrate detailed knowledge of the menu, inform guests of food preparation details and promote specials.
- Prepare and clear tables, serve food and drinks.
- Always deliver an experience of warm relaxed hospitality.
- Demonstrate superior organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Support all Tom's team members.
- Ability to perform objectives in a timely and efficient manner with a focus on quality, while always maintaining an environment of hospitality.
- Promote and embrace the restaurant's community and culture by demonstrating respect, positive energy, dependability. honesty, initiative, an outgoing nature and a pleasant, professional appearance.
- Greet guests, escort them to their tables and assist with all inquiries as needed.
- Must be able to think on your toes, to make adjustments and decisions quickly, and always prioritize the guest experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have at least 1 year of restaurant experience and a passion for hospitality.
- Superior temperament, adaptable nature and superior communication skills.
- Food and beverage knowledge preferred.
- The ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to serve alcohol.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The ability to stand for periods of time.
- Repeated bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up 35 lbs. required.
