Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist for a permanent opportunity in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Surgical Technologist III supports the Cardiovascular Operating Room team by assisting with patient care, surgical equipment, and supplies throughout complex operative procedures. This role functions as a first and second scrub, demonstrating advanced technical skill, procedural knowledge, and the ability to anticipate surgeon needs during CVOR and open-heart procedures.

The Surgical Technologist III maintains a sterile field, ensures proper handling of instruments and equipment, and supports the surgical team during all phases of the procedure. When functioning in a second scrub role, this position assists with sponging, suctioning, cutting sutures, holding retractors, and manipulating endoscopic equipment as needed. This role supports adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations and plays a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care.

COMPENSATION:

Hourly Pay Range:

$27.00/hour minimum

$37.00/hour maximum (up to 17 years of experience considered)

Note:

CVOR-certified candidates may qualify for a higher pay grade, up to $45/hour, depending on experience.

Shift Differentials:

Nights: $3.00/hour

Weekends: $3.00/hour

On-Call Pay:

$3.00/hour

Sign-On Bonus:

$25,000 for CVOR Tech III

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CVOR and open-heart surgical technologist experience required.
• Strong preference for candidates with 7+ years of CVOR and endovascular/hybrid OR experience.
• Must be competent to perform as lead in Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, Burn, and Vascular Surgery.
• Minimum of two years of prior experience in a similar-sized facility with comparable surgical services.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT).
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) through NCCT required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
