About the Role

Heartline Staffing is seeking a qualified Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse for the following opportunity.


The CVOR Registered Nurse serves as the patient advocate for individuals undergoing cardiac surgery and is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to deliver safe, effective perioperative care. This role includes assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, documentation, and time management while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and patient safety.


The CVOR RN assists with patient positioning and comfort throughout all phases of surgery, maintains strict aseptic technique, manages surgical specimens, monitors and operates specialized surgical equipment, and completes accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. The role includes circulating and scrub responsibilities, inventory management of surgical instruments, and collaboration with the surgical team. When not assigned to cardiac cases, the CVOR RN may float to non-cardiac specialties as needed.


Schedule:

This position is scheduled for day shift, working four 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.


Compensation:

  • Base salary varies based on experience level.
  • Mid-grade hourly rate is approximately $49.24.
  • Evening shift differential is $3.50 per hour.
  • Night shift differential is $5.00 per hour.
  • Weekend day differential is $3.75 per hour.
  • Weekend evening differential is $5.00 per hour.
  • Weekend night differential is $6.50 per hour.
  • A sign-on bonus ranging from $15,000 to $20,000 may be offered based on RN II or RN III experience level.
  • Relocation assistance is available based on distance from the primary work location.


Requirements

Education:

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred


Experience:

- Minimum of 5,616 hours of Registered Nurse experience required for RN III level


Licensure and Certification:

- Active Registered Nurse license in Virginia or eligibility under Nurse Licensure Compact or Virginia single-state license required

- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to completion of orientation

- Relevant specialty certification preferred
