The Role
What You’ll Own
- Creative strategy & testing: Develop performance-led creative briefs and structured testing roadmaps. Translate campaign data, audience behaviour, and platform trends into scalable concepts — then identify the winning hooks, angles, and formats worth scaling systematically.
- Scripting & production: Ideate and write high-converting direct-response scripts and hooks for short-form video, UGC, statics, and carousels. Direct creators, editors, and designers to bring the vision to life with strategic precision.
- Sprint ownership: Run the full cycle — hypothesis → brief → produce → launch → analyse → iterate — maintaining a predictable cadence of testable, high-quality assets across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Google.
- Agency & partner management: Brief, manage, and hold accountable our creative agency and measurement partners. Set the bar, run feedback cycles, and make sure external output compounds our internal learnings — not duplicates them.
- Performance & optimisation: Spot early performance signals — hook winners, fatigue trends, scaling opportunities. Use metrics (CTR, thumb-stop rate, hold rate, CVR, CAC) to make fast decisions and pivot when needed.
- Creator & UGC management: Own creator and UGC workflows end-to-end — coordination, briefs, asset intake, revisions, and approvals — for both internal partners and external creators.
- Creative insights library: Build and maintain a growing library of creative learnings and frameworks that makes the whole Growth organisation smarter over time.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner day-to-day with Performance Marketing Specialists, and regularly with CRO, Brand, Design, and Content to ensure creative strategy stays aligned with channel best practice and Linktree's identity — while always pushing for performance.
Who We’re Looking For
- 4–6+ years in performance creative, paid social strategy, or growth marketing — with a portfolio of winning ads that shows clear creative contribution and measurable outcomes. A strong portfolio matters more to us than where you've worked.
- A copywriter at your core: you know how to sell, which angles convert, how to shift audience beliefs, and how to calibrate messaging across sophistication levels — from problem-unaware to ready-to-buy.
- Deep fluency in how Meta, TikTok, and YouTube algorithms behave — and how creative influences delivery, targeting, and in-platform performance.
- Proven experience scripting and producing high-converting direct-response video ads, including hands-on work with UGC, short-form video, and creator-led content.
- Strong testing instincts: you design experiments with clear hypotheses, read performance data to separate signal from noise, and turn insights into frameworks — not one-off tweaks.
- Experienced in briefing and managing creative agencies, UGC creators, and measurement partners to a high standard with clear accountability.
- Comfortable using AI tools to move faster, generate variation, and extend your creative output — without losing quality or judgment.
- A builder and a self-starter: you design the systems and processes that make the team smarter, not just the assets that feed this week's campaigns.
- Able to prioritise ruthlessly, push back on low-leverage work, and operate autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
Nice to have
- Experience in SaaS, the creator economy, or multi-market acquisition campaigns.
- Knowledge of YouTube short-form and Google PMax creative formats.
- Experience localising creative for global markets.
- Comfortable filming and editing your own low-fi content (CapCut, iPhone, etc.) when speed matters.
