Support Services of Virginia is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Danville to provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings.
This role is ideal for individuals who are friendly, positive, open-minded, flexible, community-oriented, and enjoy staying active. As a Direct Support Professional, you will assist individuals in balancing what is important to and important for them, supporting them in living meaningful lives of their choosing.

We provide 24-hour services and are hiring for day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. Direct Support Professionals are expected to work a minimum of two weekend shifts per month as part of their regular schedule. Regardless of the shift, your work will have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of those you support.
Virtual interviews and training are provided via Zoom.
Compensation
• Starting pay: $13.50 per hour
• Potential increase to $14.00 per hour after training and medication certification clearance
• All certifications must be verified

Requirements
• Proof of highest level of education
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and tuberculosis screening
• Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, Medicaid Waiver Certification, and Direct Support Professional Core Competencies
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
