Job Description

  • Advising at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client’s overall objectives. 
  • Leading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
  • Planning for and the ongoing management of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
  • Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project.
  • Manage day to day activities of junior project resources who will be located remotely
  • Manage multiple contractors concurrently, delivering construction works within a live hospital environment, without disrupting day to day operational services
  • Forster an integrated project team environment
  • key tasks include: Contract administration, Governance reporting, ongoing management of quality, safety, health and environment issues, monitoring and advising on project finance and project programme, managing disruption which will impact operational services
  • Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports.
  •  Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience of leading project management commissions for medium, large, sized construction projects in heathcare sector
  • A minimum of 6-11 years project management experience, preferably gained within the above environment.
  • Good knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques.
  • Design, management or construction experience gained within the general construction environment.
  • People management experience, particularly in the context of managing a project management team delivering a project.
  • A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project conception stage, through all of the operational stages to completion and post-project review.
