 A day in the life...


The Guest Services Attendant is the first and last impression of The Chatham Inn. This role sets the tone for the entire guest experience — balancing warmth, confidence, organization, and grace. The ideal candidate understands that true luxury is about making guests feel recognized, welcomed, and cared for from the moment they arrive.


The Guest Services Attendant is responsible for guest service, valet parking, luggage handling, and supporting housekeeping operations. This hybrid role ensures seamless guest experience and maintains high property standards.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering luggage.
  • Greet guest warmly upon arrival and departure.
  • Drive, park, and retrieve guest vehicles safely.
  • Escort guests to rooms and provide property information.
  • Maintain accurate valet documentation and secure key storage.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and anticipate needs.
  • Strip checkout rooms, remove linens/towels, and restock supplies.
  • Deliver guest requests and distribute inventory shipments.
  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas and manage trash removal.
  • Report maintenance issues and ensure property safety.

Requirements

  •  Experience in guest services, housekeeping, or similar roles preferred.
  •  Must meet NHHR background screening requirements.
  •  Minimum 21 years of age, a valid driver’s license and meet NHHR motor vehicle (MVR)     requirements.
  •  Extensive standing and walking.
  •  Frequent reaching, lifting, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  •  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  •  Close, distance, peripheral, and color vision require
