Description

As an Assistant Camp Counselor candidates will gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience working within a summer day camp program. Assistant Camp Counselors will be provided quality opportunities to identify, define and enhance the hard and soft skills needed to be a successful day camp counselor within any organization. This is a great opportunity for those candidates looking for a first-job experience.

Requirements

  • Interested in working with youth between the ages of 3 and 10 yrs. old
  • Ability to stay organized
  • Is coachable, willing to receive feedback
  • Be an active participant in recreational activities, sports, and games alongside campers
  • Ability to actively supervise children in dynamic indoor and outdoor environments 
  • Ability to move quickly to respond to the needs of children, including safety or      behavioral situations 
  • Ability to navigate playgrounds, fields, and camp facilities throughout the day
