ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Accurately shelves returned items (books, DVDs, CDs, etc.)
Maintains orderly appearances of shelves
Performs shelf reading
Carries out other duties and special projects, as assigned
Maintains regular and predictable attendance
Adheres to all policies and procedures

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

People skills—ability to work effectively with others and enjoy it
Experience providing extraordinary customer service
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
Ability to understand and retain detailed instructions

PHYSICAL STANDARDS

Job allows for variance in work routine, requiring considerable amounts of standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and sitting
Strenuous activity required, such as carrying bags or boxes of books, or arranging rooms for events and classes

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Must be at least 16 years of age
Works under the direction of a Customer Service Supervisor
Position currently available at the East Columbia Branch in Columbia, MD
On-call, hourly, unbenefited position
Works up to 10 hours per week; days, evenings, and weekends
Salary: $16.32 / hour
Position closes Friday, 3/6 at 4 PM
