About the Role

YOUR PURPOSE


Coordinates and performs building repairs, maintenance, and alterations to ensure facilities are safe, functional, and presentable. Oversees the upkeep of building grounds and ensures compliance with safety and building standards. Assists with coordinating vendors, ensuring agreements are current, and repairs are completed in a timely manner. Supports daily work orders and assists in cost estimation. Responsible for managing off-site storage, as well as the procurement and distribution of office supplies. In addition to keeping accurate documentation and reporting to support organizational needs.


YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR


Facilities Maintenance & Repair

  • Performs high-quality and timely repair and maintenance tasks
  • Inspects facilities and equipment to determine service needed to maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of Horizon’s buildings.
  • Performs prescribed preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment, buildings, and grounds as required.
  • Repairs building components, building systems, landscaping, and equipment. 
  • Receives service requests for buildings and equipment and determines actions needed to be taken, including the dispatch of service vendors.
  • Installs, assembles, moves, repairs, and removes equipment and furniture.
  • Assists with prioritizing and managing work orders to provide a timely resolution to work order requests.
  • Delivers supplies to branches as needed.
  • Keeps in compliance with all current OSHA and WISHA Health and Safety regulations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as business demands/priorities change.

Coordination of off-site storage & Org supply request

  • Order and purchase office supplies for the organization in accordance with company purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions
  • Facilitate the supply shipment to all branches and administrative locations
  • Order company letterhead paper goods and coordinate delivery
  • Approve all invoices for supplies as needed
  • Facilitates the removal of all branch supplies for closed branches, cancels coordinating branch contracts and off-site storage
  • Retrieve files/boxes and transfer for storage / or shredding based on retention schedule
  • Maintain and manage relations with off-site/shredding vendors
  • Participate as needed in special department projects

Vendor Management

  • Assists in the maintenance of a service vendor list which includes periodically verifying vendor’s licensing and insurance.
  • Assists with coordination of contractors and service vendors
  • Assists Facilities Manager with obtaining cost estimates and quotes for building and equipment repairs or upgrades

Compensation


The full pay range for this position across all the states in which we hire is $24.23-$33.93. The figures shown represent the minimum and maximum of the range for this role. 

Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate’s experience, education, and skill level.

Requirements


EXPERTISE YOU NEED


Education & Experience


High School Diploma or equivalent. Some formal technical trade experience and education are preferred, such as three or more years in a facilities position with progressive responsibilities. One or more years of vendor management experience is required; project management experience is a plus. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of SharePoint and other vendor management software is preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.  

  • General repair knowledge is needed in drywall, painting, door adjustment, flooring, plumbing, carpentry, landscape irrigation systems, and equipment repair.
  • Knowledge of building systems and construction. Able to read blueprints.
  • Prior electrical experience and ability to make minor repairs such as replacing ballasts for lighting and replacing light fixtures, switches, and outlets.
  • Requires travel out of town and overnights

To perform the essential functions of this position an employee must be able to meet the following work place demands: ability to converse with others, detect sound, identify and detect objects, count, read, write, operate a computer, handle and feel objects, reach with hands/arms and be stationary and/or stand and/or move for long periods of time. Occasionally an employee will lift/pull/push and carry up to 25 to 50 pounds, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and be able to maintain balance doing these activities. Must be able to work outside in the heat, cold & rain, able to work at heights on ladders and roofs and in areas of noise and construction. Position requires sound reasoning, good judgement and ability to apply knowledge toward work activities.
