POSITION SUMMARY
Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our menu, making recommendations based on the customer's preferences, taking orders, up-selling special items, and keeping the facility clean and stocked. To be successful in this role, a barista should have excellent customer service and personal skills, knowledge of brewing methods and specialty drinks, and motivation to keep the store clean and presentable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as brewed coffee, espresso, cold brew, blended beverages and tea to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested.
· Describes product details to customers.
· Upholds high-quality espresso by completing grind/machine checks on espresso throughout the day.
· Make cold brew when needed.
· Receives and processes customer payments.
· Serves prepared foods and baked goods including sandwiches, biscotti, muffins, or donuts.
· Ensure customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
· Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas throughout the shift.
· Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
· Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in all the equipment.
· Stocks supplies or retail products may include inventory, ordering, and/or receive products as directed.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to calculate discounts and percentages
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self-starter and manage time wisely
- Good analytical & organizational skills
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
- Good memory to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall faces, names, and preferences of frequent patrons.
- Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequently bend, reach, and twist; and lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
