Medical Assistant
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, you will support medical providers, care managers, and other staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient experiences. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment focused on compassionate, efficient, and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits by turning on instruments, computer systems, lights, and ensuring cleanliness and proper stock of supplies.
- Assist medical providers during patient examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing necessary documentation.
- Support care coordination by facilitating patient flow within the clinic and ensuring timely appointments.
- Provide basic nursing care within the scope of certification, registration, or educational provisions, adhering to agency protocols.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient interactions and care provided.
- Ensure infection control standards are followed and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, patient check-in/out, and managing medical supplies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- Prior experience in a primary care or outpatient clinic setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
