Summary: The Senior Fleet Coordinator plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the company’s fleet operations. This position builds upon the foundational responsibilities of the Fleet Coordinator by incorporating strategic planning, project management, team leadership, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Fleet Coordinator ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and long-term fleet sustainability across all divisions, while delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with the process of in-fleeting and de-fleeting of commercial and passenger vehicles and forklifts including registration and licensing
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment comply with applicable government regulations and safety standards.
- Monitor Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) for compliance and maintenance needs.
- Oversee vehicle and forklift lifecycle processes, including registration, licensing, maintenance coordination, and compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Manage GPS tracking, Electronic Logging Device (ELD) programs, and maintenance reviews to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Support the company’s Fleet Transportation Management System (TMS), coordinate with 3PL providers to ensure service alignment, performance tracking, and issue resolution. Analyze TMS and 3PL data to identify trends, improve service levels, and support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain fleet databases and user profiles; generate reports to monitor performance, compliance, and support stakeholder needs.
- Provide training, technical support, and mentorship to all company team members.
- Lead or support initiatives to improve fleet efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop vehicle replacement plans and support long-term strategic fleet planning.
- Drive continuous improvement and lead fleet-related projects to successful outcomes.
- Foster strong relationships with divisions, vendors, and leadership to support alignment and satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of previous experience with contract administration, required
- 4 or more years of fleet experience and administrative coordination, required
- College degree (Associate’s or Bachelor’s), strongly preferred
