Description
This position is responsible for directing the logistical and yard loading operations of the manufacturing facility and for assuring the accomplishment of assigned objectives in safety, operating efficiency, product quality, cost control, and human resource management.
2nd Shift Schedule: 4:00pm - 1:30am
2nd Shift Pay Differential: You'll receive an additional $1.00 as Shift Differential
Job Functions
· Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the yard and meet all shipment schedules and quality of service objectives.
· Enforces standard operating policies and procedures for all assigned operations functions
· Implement and enforce the company safety program
· Ensure compliance with all governmental safety regulations
· Quickly research and resolve any pulling, loading, delivery and quality problems.
· Ensure accuracy and efficiency of the assigned operations team/shift.
· Prepare, analyze, and issue department performance reports as directed.
· Maintain high standards of personal and subordinate conduct to promote a positive management image and positive motivation throughout the organization.
· Be comfortable with interviewing, coaching, and counseling employees
· Lead problem solving efforts, coach team members in resolving conflicts and achieving results and provide guidance to underperforming employees
· Train and develop employees by ensuring proper training and mentorship and provide ongoing feedback
· Participate and lead in assigned work projects.
Requirements
Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree preferred, Associates or relevant experience will be considered
· 5+ years of plant operations experience in a manufacturing environment
· Motivated, coachable, and able to follow instructions.
· Able and willing to work outside and in all weather conditions.
· Excellent integrity, good moral, strong character, initiative and leadership.
· Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with people from all levels and departments.
· Ability to effectively communicate (written and orally) in English; Bi-lingual preferred.
· Ability to use computers and software such as Microsoft Office Suite
· High attention to detail.
