Location: Green Hills Area, Nashville, TN

Department: Custodial - ServiceFM LLC
Reports To: Custodial Supervisor
Employment Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Compensation: $16.75 per hour plus some benefits

Job Summary:

ServiceFM is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Full-Time Night Custodian to support a private school campus in the Green Hills area of Nashville. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment during evening hours, ensuring classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas are properly cleaned and ready for the next day. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in delivering high-quality custodial work in an educational setting.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, dusting, mopping (wet/dry), restroom and cafeteria cleaning, trash removal, and window and door cleaning
Maintain the cleanliness of classrooms, hallways, offices, gyms, cafeterias, and other common areas
Remove debris from grounds and empty interior and exterior trash bins
Set up and clean up for events, including moving and arranging furniture as needed
Perform floor and carpet maintenance during scheduled times or as needed
Secure the building at the end of the shift and report any maintenance or safety concerns

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid meal break)
Total Hours: 40 hours per week
Additional Hours: Occasional overtime or weekend shifts may be required to support special events or cover absences

Requirements

Qualifications & Physical Requirements:

Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, including lifting to 50 lbs, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods
Willingness to work evening hours and occasional weekends for special events
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently and thoroughly
Must pass a background check (required for working in a school setting)
Must be able to work on a free-smoke enviroment
Basic ability to track time and communicate using a smartphone or timekeeping device
