Description

Business Development Specialist – Healthcare Partnerships

Washington, D.C. (In-Person ; Full-Time)
$50,000–$70,000 + quarterly bonuses

We’re hiring a business development professional to build referral partnerships with healthcare providers, funeral homes, and legal professionals. This is a relationship-driven role focused on in-person outreach, long-term partnerships, and strategic growth—not transactional sales.

About EPIARX

EPIARX is a physician-led pathology and autopsy practice based in Washington, D.C.

We serve families, hospitals, law firms, and healthcare professionals with compassion, scientific rigor, and clarity during some of life’s most difficult moments. While many know us for private autopsy services, our work also includes advanced molecular and genetic testing, neuropathology consultations, and DNA preservation — serving clients regionally and nationally.

We are building something intentional. Ethical growth. Regional strength in pathology. National expansion in molecular and genetic services.

We are not a volume shop. We are a reputation practice.  If you’re hungry to help build something meaningful — and do it the right way — keep reading.

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Specialist (Healthcare Partnerships) to expand EPIARX’s professional network thoughtfully and strategically.

This is a relationship-driven business development role (not transactional sales). You will not be cold-calling families. You will not be pushing services. You will be building trust. You will:

  • Strengthen our pathology presence throughout the DMV and Mid-Atlantic
  • Expand awareness of our molecular and genetic services nationally
  • Cultivate long-term referral relationships with funeral homes, hospitals, law firms, and healthcare partners
  • Help position EPIARX as the go-to consultative resource in our field

We are looking for someone energetic, polished, self-motivated, and deeply comfortable in professional environments that require tact and emotional intelligence.

What You’ll Do

Relationship Development (Regional + National)

  • Build and maintain referral relationships across the DMV for pathology services
  • Support national relationship development for molecular/genetic and consultative services
  • Conduct in-person visits throughout the DMV region
  • Represent EPIARX at regional conferences and select national events

Strategic Service Positioning

  • Confidently articulate the full scope of EPIARX services — not just autopsy
  • Help expand awareness of DNA preservation and molecular pathology offerings
  • Identify smart, ethical expansion opportunities

CRM & Growth Infrastructure

  • Own and maintain CRM discipline
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to align outreach and visibility efforts
  • Contribute to structured quarterly reporting

  • High emotional intelligence and professional maturity
  • Comfort in sensitive or clinical environments
  • Ability to translate complex medical services into clear, human language
  • CRM fluency (HighLevel or similar preferred)
  • Willingness to travel locally (DMV) and occasionally regionally

Most importantly:
You are proactive. You follow up. You are energized by building relationships. You want ownership. You want growth.

What Success Looks Like

Within 3–6 months, you will:

  • Establish meaningful referral relationships in the DMV
  • Expand awareness of EPIARX’s broader services
  • Contribute to measurable growth in inquiries and referral diversification
  • Demonstrate disciplined CRM and follow-up execution

Why Join EPIARX

  • Direct collaboration with physician leadership
  • A growing, mission-driven medical practice
  • Real input in shaping regional and national growth
  • A thoughtful, respectful team culture

We offer:

  • Birthday leave
  • Year-round Sunshine Fridays

We take our work seriously. We take our culture seriously. And we expect you to take ownership seriously.

How to Apply

Submit your resume and a brief cover letter answering the following:

  1. Tell us about a relationship you built from scratch that led to meaningful business growth. What did you actually do to make it happen?
  2. What motivates you more: stability or building something? Why?
  3. Where do you see yourself professionally in 5–10 years, and how does this role fit into that trajectory?

No recruiters. No aggressive pitches. Just thoughtful professionals with energy and follow-through.
