Hand Finisher - 1st shift (6am to 230pm)

The employee will perform hand finishing, deburring, and inspection tasks using appropriate tooling with minimal supervision, requiring cross-training in various disciplines within the hand finish area. Duties also include hand grinding components to specified contours and dimensions, cleaning, and grit blasting parts.

About the Role

Description

With little supervision, perform hand finishing, deburring and inspection, using appropriate tooling as required.

This position requires a positive attitude. Cross training is mandatory in various disciplines within the hand finish area.

Requirements

• Be familiar with all tools required for hand finish.

• Hand grinding various airfoil shapes to their finish contour and dimension

• Chamfer, radius and grind parts to blueprints and work instructions.

• Read and understand basic diagrams and mechanical drawings.

• Clean and grit blast

• Read, interpret and execute work instructions.

• Follow all company policies including safety instructions.

• Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices.


• High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent experience.

• 2 years’ experience in component repair

• 2 years’ experience with inspection tooling and processes

• Familiar with FAA part 145 Repair Stations, understands and can apply regulatory requirements (preferred)

• Demonstrated experience with Lean and 5S principles (preferred)
