Position Overview
The Project Manager is a key driver of strategic initiatives across the ranch, supporting projects that span production, facilities, marketing, hospitality, and guest experiences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and excels at transforming ideas into organized, on-time, and on-budget outcomes.
The Project Manager reports to the President while working closely with the Leadership Team and department heads to move key, company-wide projects from concept to completion. Successful candidates will have a track record for managing a variety of project types, teams, and collaborating with consultants/vendors from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional project planning, scheduling, and execution for operational, capital, and brand initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal departments to define project goals, scope, deliverables, and success metrics.
- Monitor progress, manage schedules, and proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, or resource needs.
- Provide clear, consistent communication of project updates, milestones, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and project budgets with accuracy and accountability.
- Support process improvements that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and product quality across the ranch.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, reporting, and post-project evaluations.
- Serve as the central point of contact across internal teams (sales & marketing, operations, agriculture, leadership) and external stakeholders (vendors, partners, contractors)
- Facilitate timely decision-making and cross-department alignment.
- Prepare and lead internal briefings, pre-planning sessions, and post-mortem reviews.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably in food production, agriculture, manufacturing, or hospitality.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and handle multiple priorities in a changing environment.
- PMP certification or similar credential is a plus.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are strongly preferred.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to work on-site at our ranch in Petaluma, including walking on uneven or sloped outdoor terrain.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 25 pounds.
- Comfortable working occasionally in outdoor or production environments with varying temperatures.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach as part of regular duties.
- Ability to safely navigate around ranch equipment, production facilities, and guest areas.
- Valid California driver’s license required; must be able to safely operate ranch vehicles, such as utility carts or light trucks, for on-site transportation.
- Clean driving record and adherence to company vehicle use policies required.

Salary Range: $80,000 to $120,000 depending upon experience.
