We are currently looking for people to join our team on Swing & Weekend Shift. 

· Swing Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:25pm-1:55am (eligible for 7.5% shift differential)

· Weekend Shift: Friday-Sunday 6:00am-6:30pm (eligible for 11.11% shift differential)


Duties and Responsibilities: 

As a Painter in Finish Cell, you will be not only a part of the aerospace industry, you have an opportunity to apply your skill set supporting an organization that services the community through job skill development.

The Painter role will apply primer, topcoat, Sol-Gel and other aerospace coatings to products manufactured at Orion. 

• Complete and maintain all required specifications and testing for primer application. 

• Apply various types of primer to parts in accordance with work instructions and specifications 

• Prepare parts for primer, subsequent coats of primer, and topcoat (paint prep). 

• Take apart, clean, and reassemble spray equipment. 

• Complete all forms and documents using proper AAM processes. 

• Follow Orion Procedures and Work Instructions to avoid nonconformances and defects. 

• Participate in 6S, Safety, and Continuous Improvement activities. 

• Work in a safe manner and utilize required PPE as necessary. 

• Role model proper work ethics, behaviors, hygiene, and dress.

Requirements

Qualifications: 

• Two plus years’ experience in aerospace finishing. 

• Ability to independently mix and apply aerospace primers. 

• Ability to independently operate painting equipment. 

• Experience & Knowledge with aerospace finishing specifications (i.e., BAC specifications).
