CLASS A TANKER DRIVER
Department: Transportation

Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Position Summary
Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking qualified and experienced Class A CDL Drivers with Tanker Endorsement to support a 6-month water hauling project in Gardnerville, Nevada and surrounding areas. Drivers will be responsible for hauling water from a J-Stand fill location to designated job sites, ensuring safe and efficient transport while complying with all DOT regulations and company safety standards. This position requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker endorsement, strong operational discipline, and the ability to work extended hours during an active construction or industrial project. Drivers from the Inland Empire and Southern California who are willing to stay out of town for the duration of the project are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
· Safely operate Class A tanker trucks transporting water between J-Stand fill stations and job sites
· Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
· Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor and tanker equipment
· Monitor load integrity and ensure safe operation of tanker valves and pumping equipment
· Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and trip documentation
· Communicate effectively with dispatch, project supervisors, and job site personnel
· Follow designated hauling routes and schedules to support project operations
· Maintain awareness of site safety requirements and environmental compliance standards
· Report equipment issues or safety concerns immediately to management
· Maintain professional conduct while representing Ecology Auto Parts on active project sites
Requirements
Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills
· Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
· Tanker Endorsement REQUIRED
· Minimum 1 year of Class A driving experience preferred
· Experience hauling liquids, water, or similar materials preferred
· Strong understanding of DOT regulations and driver compliance requirements
· Ability to work long shifts (up to 11 hours per day) during active project schedules
· Reliable work ethic and strong commitment to safety
· Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with operations personnel
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
· Drivers must regularly sit for extended periods while operating commercial vehicles
· Use hands and arms to operate tanker equipment, valves, and vehicle controls
· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
· Specific vision abilities required include distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
· Work may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions and construction environments.
Compensation
The Tanker position offers a competitive hourly wage range of $23.00 to $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, certifications, and demonstrated skill level.
