We are currently seeking a full-time Dining Room Supervisor to oversee and support our front-of-house dining team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for training and mentoring staff, coordinating schedules, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests. The ideal candidate is a confident leader with a strong background in hospitality, a commitment to high service standards, and a dedication to resident satisfaction and operational excellence.
Experience in senior living - such as long-term care, assisted living, or memory support - is preferred, along with a genuine passion for serving older adults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead departmental onboarding and ongoing training for front-of-house staff, providing coaching in service standards, menu knowledge, and wine service.
- Develop and manage staff schedules, shift assignments, and daily opening/closing procedures to ensure smooth operations.
- Implement and maintain service standards, checklists, floor plans, and station assignments to streamline workflow.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings, communicate updates, and reinforce performance expectations.
- Maintain accurate menus, POS systems, and OpenTable settings, including resident preferences and special events.
- Ensure exceptional resident and guest experiences by maintaining a visible presence and resolving concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with Resident Services and Marketing to execute special events and dining initiatives.
- Monitor inventory and step into service roles as needed to support seamless dining operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
- At least two (2) years of progressive experience in hospitality, ideally in fine dining or restaurant management.
- Familiarity with dining regulations and compliance standards in long-term care or senior living settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards and operational best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a resident-focused approach to service.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service, professionalism, and creativity.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and reservation platforms such as OpenTable.
