Cima specializes in the design, fabrication, and installation of high-quality signage for diverse clients. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custom Sign Mechanic II to join our team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reading and interpreting detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Fabricating sign components from various materials, including metals, acrylics, and composites, using advanced machinery and tools.
- Operating CNC Machines to cut, route, and shape materials with precision.
- Welding and soldering components as needed for structural integrity.
- Applying finishes and coatings to sign surfaces according to specifications.
- Conducting quality inspections to ensure all fabricated components meet standards.
- Collaborating with designers and engineers to troubleshoot design issues and refine fabrication processes.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certifications preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in Sign Fabrication or related field.
- Proficiency in using CNC equipment and fabrication tools.
- Advanced knowledge of materials and fabrication techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Must have the ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials throughout the shop and adjacent outside areas.
- Prefer current and unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; work with their hands handle, or feel, whether directly manipulating components or using controls on an assembly machine. Employee must be able to talk or hear over shop noise. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time at worktables. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 to 75 pounds and move it for at least 50 feet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
