Server & Server Assistant – Multiple Outlets

Description

Boar’s Head Resort is seeking hospitality professionals to join our Food & Beverage team as Servers and Server Assistants across multiple dining outlets including the Mill Room, Poolside Dining, Birdwood Mansion, and other resort venues. Team members play an important role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

This posting represents multiple openings and candidates may be considered for either Server or Server Assistant roles depending on experience.

Server Responsibilities

• Provide professional and attentive service to guests throughout the dining experience
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver orders promptly
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and beverage offerings
• Provide menu recommendations and assist guests with selections
• Ensure tables are properly set and maintained throughout service
• Process guest checks and payments accurately
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas and dining spaces

Server Assistant Responsibilities

• Support Servers in delivering timely and efficient service
• Deliver food and beverages to guest tables
• Clear and reset tables according to service standards
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas and service stations
• Assist with water service, bread service, and guest requests
• Support opening and closing side work duties

Work Environment / Locations

Team members may be scheduled in various Food & Beverage outlets including:

• The Mill Room Restaurant
• Poolside Dining
• Birdwood Mansion

Other Boar’s Head Resort dining venues

Requirements

Qualifications

Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred

• Strong guest service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Certifications (Preferred)

• SERV Safe Food Handler Certification
• Alcohol Service Certification (TIPS or equivalent)
• Virginia ABC Responsible Alcohol Service Training

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
