We are seeking a Manager of Legal Support Services to lead and further strengthen the team that supports our attorneys and their work. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this role offers the opportunity to build on a strong foundation while continuing to shape a consistent, high-quality legal support services experience across the firm.


The Manager of Legal Support Services oversees the Legal Administrative Assistant team in New Orleans and partners closely with firm leadership to ensure that people, workflows, and day-to-day support align with practice needs and firm priorities. This role is central to delivering exceptional attorney support and client service through strong leadership, effective operations, and a culture grounded in collaboration, accountability, and respect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of Legal Support Services: Lead, coach, and develop the Legal Administrative Assistant team, with responsibility for staffing, onboarding, training, performance management, and professional development. Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and recognition while setting clear expectations and consistent standards.
  • Recruiting and Talent Development: Partner with Human Resources to build and maintain a strong pipeline for Legal Administrative Assistants and Administrative Support Assistants. Participate in selection, onboarding, and ongoing development to ensure the firm attracts and retains high-quality legal support talent.
  • Workflow and Service Delivery Oversight: Oversee legal support services workflows across the firm, including the effective use of legal task management and document management platforms. Ensure support services are delivered consistently, efficiently, and at a high level of quality aligned with practice needs and firm priorities.
  • Continuous Improvement and Firmwide Collaboration: Identify opportunities to improve processes, service models, and resource alignment. Support firmwide initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and contribute to strengthening the firm’s culture through thoughtful leadership and clear communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a legal administrative support role.
  • Supervisory experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading administrative or practice support teams and driving operational or process improvements.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to move initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with attorneys, staff, and firm leadership.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems.
