JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY


CNC Machinist will operate computer-controlled tools to machine or process parts, tools, or other work pieces primarily of polyurethane foam but other materials as well. Reads and interprets blueprints, work orders, and related documentation to determine methods and sequence of operations, in addition to, dimensional and finish specifications.

  • Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
  • Mount, install, align, secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently setup and breakdown machines, removing finished work pieces, tooling changes, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequences
  • Read, interpret and convey instructions, verbally and in written form

Requirements

Education, Skills and Certifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to receive and interpret instructions and directions from supervisors and peers
  • Must demonstrate good judgment to perform the job correctly and safely
  • Experience with GD and T
  • Must be process minded with experience leading and participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of CNC experience

Preferred Applicants will also possess the following:

  • Experience operating HAAS and CMS machines
  • Strong GD and T knowledge
  • Process control minded
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements

  • Standing 8 hours per day
  • Finger dexterity – the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
  • Arm-hand steadiness – the ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position
  • Ability to work with or around chemical solvents

SHIFT


This position requires that you are available for either day or swing shift. We offer a $1.50 shift premium for anyone on swing shift. Overtime is optional and never mandatory!

*****PAY STARTS BETWEEN $25.00 - $35.00/hr PLUS BONUS - DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE****
