Fueling Success in this Role:
VP Racing is seeking a full-time Procurement Manager at our Corporate Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. Our Procurement Manager will lead our purchasing operations and supply chain strategy. In this role, you'll own end-to-end procurement - from developing sourcing strategies and negotiating vendor contracts to managing inventory levels, processing purchase orders, and ensuring chemical compliance. You'll work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, control costs, and maintain supply continuity for our fuel and chemical product lines.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with business needs
- Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with optimal terms
- Forecast inventory levels and manage supply against sales and production demand
- Process purchase orders, develop bids/proposals, and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Perform cost analysis, scenario planning, and market benchmarking
- Assess and mitigate supply and inventory risks
- Ensure chemical compliance and supply continuity
- Develop and implement quality assurance/quality control measures
- Support regulatory reporting requirements
- Track and report key procurement metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Manage procurement budgets and control costs across all purchases

Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must be extremely organized and able to manage the logistics of multiple duties with professionalism and strong communication skills. In addition, strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is critical for success in the role, as are high levels of accuracy, timeliness and dependability. We are looking for someone who can establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization, work effectively with all levels of employees and management, and assist in providing solutions to challenges that arise. If this describes you and you meet the following requirements, we would be happy to speak with you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics, or Business Administration related field; AND at least five (5) years of supply chain, logistics, or chemical sales/purchasing experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Experience in quality assurance/quality control and general chemistry is preferred.
- Experience in working with multiple discipline projects.
- NetSuite experience (Preferred)
