Schedule Highlights

- Weekend rotation is minimal — currently once every 5th weekend is required.

What You’ll Do
As a valued member of our imaging team, you will play a key role in delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate diagnostic services. This role performs ultrasound procedures at an independent technical level while collaborating closely with physicians and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Support physicians during invasive procedures while strictly following universal protocol standards.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency by coding and tracking exams in the RIS system, networking images to ISITE, and entering all associated charges.
- Perform High-Level Disinfection (HLD) of devices, supplies, and/or equipment as needed.
- Educate and reassure patients, explaining procedures in a clear, calming way to support cooperation and reduce anxiety.
- Verify patient identity using two identifiers and follow universal protocol for every procedure.
- Review clinical information, including physician orders and patient history, to determine the most appropriate protocol for high‑quality imaging.
- Perform a spectrum of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, integrating patient history, lab results, and physical findings to support accurate diagnosis under direct physician supervision.
- Collaborate with your team, demonstrating respect, compassion, and strong communication with patients and coworkers.
- Operate ultrasound equipment confidently, using proper instrumentation, scanning techniques, and protocols to ensure optimal image acquisition.
- Capture high‑quality anatomical images, documenting normal and abnormal findings using cross‑sectional imaging, measurements, and applicable data tools.
Education
- Completion of a CAAHEP‑accredited Ultrasound program is required.
Licensure & Certifications
- RDMS or RVT certification (or registry‑eligible) preferred.
- Completion of the Physics portion of the registry is preferred.
- Must obtain RDMS or RVT certification within 12 months of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
- Acceptable certifications include:
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
Required Clearances
- Act 31 – Child Abuse Reporting (with renewal)
- Act 33 – Childline Clearance (with renewal)
- Act 34 – Criminal Background Check (with renewal)
- Act 73 – FBI Fingerprint Clearance (with renewal)
