About the position
Interning with our Maintenance & Integrity Department represents a great opportunity to gain work experience in your field of study.
You will report to the senior reliability engineer and be called on to participate in various projects dealing with the technical development of the Maintenance Department. Among other things, you will be expected to contribute to the improvement of our planning and maintenance processes, establish yourself as a SAP Maintenance user and have a hand in several maintenance projects.
Moreover, you will be assisting the reliability engineer in the development of procedures, the review of equipment failures, the implementation of new work practices and the automation of maintenance work management. The projects assigned to you will require you to develop equipment records, improve the performance of certain equipment, monitor the condition of Terminal assets, identify reliability problems and potential solutions; and take part in the review of various preventive maintenance programs.
You will also be called on to take part in various multidisciplinary projects and offer support to project engineers.
The requisite training pertaining to your duties and to health, safety, and environmental matters will be provided after you start. Personal protective equipment, including safety boots, will be provided.
Qualifications
· A student in a program leading to a B.Sc. in automated manufacturing, mechanical or electrical engineering
· Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
· Extensive autonomy
· Aptitudes for communication and teamwork.
The work site located at 7000 Marien Avenue in Montreal-East is not easy to reach by public transit. However, free parking is provided on the premises. The incumbent will be required to work 35 or 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday.
The period of employment is from May to August 2026, which could be extended depending on the interest of the person selected or the team’s requirements.
