We are seeking a highly skilled General Internal Medicine Consultant to join our esteemed healthcare team in the UK. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert medical care, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a variety of adult health conditions.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care, utilizing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding both acute and chronic care management, mentoring junior staff, and promoting patient well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of adult patients.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions, both acute and chronic.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
- Provide education and support to patients on managing their health and promoting preventive care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records adhering to clinical guidelines.
- Engage in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
- MD or equivalent from an accredited medical school.
- CCST or equivalent in General Internal Medicine.
- Full registration and license to practice with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in Internal Medicine.
- Proven ability to manage a diverse patient population with a range of medical conditions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is desirable.
