Position summary: 

Technicians at ACT support this process by performing various tasks that facilitate the development of thermal products from prototypes to flight hardware. Technicians may be called upon to provide practical design support, undertake tasks involving machining, system assembly and testing of prototype hardware and, ultimately, flight hardware. Technicians work closely with engineers, other technicians, quality control technicians and other vital team members to help develop and test hardware utilized in the aerospace industry.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Fabrication and testing of prototype hardware/assemblies
  • Supporting generation and development of work instructions/procedures
  • Maintaining a Safety-First work environment
  • Following common engineering planning & execution documentation (e.g. Travelers, work instructions, procedures, ...)
  • Maintaining documentation through manufacturing and flow to preserve product pedigree
  • Working cohesively with a diverse group of engineers and technicians
  • Maintaining high quality of work and product

Requirements

  • Must be a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15? (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) due to ITAR restrictions.
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing and testing
  • Certificate from a technical school or a minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Experience operating hand tools (drills, drivers, etc.) and basic shop tools (saws, drill press, etc.)
  • Basic Electrical experience in AC and DC circuits
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation (e.g., Work instructions)
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office product package (Word, Excel)
  • Strong organizational & time management skills
