What You’ll Do:
As Education Coordinator for the MPOWERHealth CNIM Academy, you’ll drive educational initiatives, support the growth of Associate Technicians and hybrid students, and collaborate with faculty to enhance learning and clinical operations.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with faculty to develop, revise, and manage academic content, including PASS lectures, exams, and quizzes, for Individual, Class, or Hybrid pathways.
- Manage student surveys, including CAAHEP-required collections, and provide feedback to improve programs for MCA, University of Michigan, and Hybrid students.
- Conduct weekly follow-ups with students during the academic phase and communicate with education faculty and clinical staff.
- Maintain and refine educational content, ensuring alignment with policies and procedures.
- Track and analyze academic scores weekly and support students throughout the board examination phase.
- Assist with student travel coordination, onboarding preparation, and Academy orientation.
- Attend weekly MCA faculty meetings and biweekly Mentor meetings as needed during the AT CNIM phase.
- Proctor exams, substitute as needed for CNIM PASS classes, and support other education-related projects.
- Create and maintain CEU transcripts, track continuing education hours for IONM clinical staff, and support clinicians with certificate renewals and recertification.
- Provide case coverage to meet local IOM staffing needs, with one day per week dedicated to education-related tasks.
- Participate in IOM continuing education events/webinars.
Qualifications
What You Need:
Education & Certification: A bachelor’s degree or higher (Master’s, PhD, MD preferred). Certification by ABRET (CNIM or D-ABNM) is highly preferred. Current AHA BLS CPR certification is required. Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Skills & Knowledge: Expertise in anatomy, neuroanatomy, pathologic processes and aseptic techniques. Proficiency in analyzing neurophysiologic waveforms and using electrophysiological equipment. Strong organizational, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and transport 40-45 lbs of equipment and stand, stoop, or sit for extended periods in a surgical environment. Wear protective clothing, including surgical attire, gloves, glasses, and masks (PPE).
Work Environment: Potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials, with minimal risk when following established health precautions.
