Position Overview

The Order Fulfillment Support role is a dynamic position that may encompass a range of responsibilities to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of order fulfillment processes. 

This role may involve performing one or more specific duties depending on location and size including clerical support, customer relations, and dispatch operations


Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  1. Clerical Support
  • Assist in general administrative tasks, including data entry and filing.
  • Communicate with relevant departments regarding outstanding workorders or invoice issues.

2. Customer Relations – Internal and External

  • Interact with customers during order pickups, accepting payments and applying them to corresponding invoices.
  • Efficiently process transactions and locate/prepare ordered parts for a seamless pickup experience.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries or concerns promptly. 
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and teamwork.

3. Dispatch Operations

  • Plan and schedule the most efficient routes for deliveries, taking into consideration factors such as part type and size, as well as traffic, delivery priorities, and distance. 
  • Assist drivers as they conduct deliveries, as well as facilitating thoughtful communication between fellow drivers and sales associates. 
  • Track and report on the status of dispatched orders.
  • Check in drivers as they arrive from their shifts, verifying that they have completed required safety checks on their vehicles, and reconciling manifests for deliveries. This may involve reconciling cash and check payments, and handling any discrepancies or issues that arise.

4. Shipping

  • Assist in receiving and processing incoming shipments as needed.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Actively contribute to improving order fulfillment processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

6. Safety

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

7. Perform Other Duties as Assigned

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • One year of experience in warehouse or logistics environments, including understanding inventory management and operating material handling equipment, preferred.
  • Forklift Certificate preferred.
  • Automotive experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required with a commitment to act with an elevated level of professionalism during all transactions both internally and externally.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 
  • Must be able to work effectively alone or with others in a team environment. 
  • Must be able to work collaboratively across functions. Share expertise with others.
  • Must be a self-starter with the demonstrated ability to meet timelines and schedules related to essential functions described above. 
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to remain in and operate equipment in a workstation. 
  • Work in an area equipped with forklifts, chain hoists, and other tools as needed.
  • Occasionally move about a salvage yard.
  • Ability to use both hands regularly with enough dexterity to safely operate basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry objects and materials up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Expected work hours are based on role and location
  • Ability to work occasional overtime as needed as determined by the employee’s supervisor.
