About the Role

Description

Loch Harbour Group, Inc. is seeking a highly analytical and intellectually curious Research Analyst to support senior leadership through high-impact research, analysis, and executive-level reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to quickly synthesize complex information across a range of domains including geopolitics, economics, emerging technologies, and national security.


This role requires the ability to move rapidly between diverse topics, conduct deep analytical research, and translate complex findings into concise executive briefings, decision memos, and strategic reports for senior stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis across geopolitical, economic, technological, and national security topics
  • Rapidly synthesize large volumes of information into actionable insights for leadership
  • Produce high-quality written products including white papers, analytical reports, snapshot briefs, and executive summaries
  • Develop clear and visually compelling executive presentations and briefing materials (PowerPoint)
  • Structure complex analytical content into decision briefs designed to support leadership strategy and planning
  • Monitor emerging global trends and developments to identify potential impacts on strategic priorities
  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to frame research questions and develop analytical approaches
  • Present research findings and analytical insights to senior leadership audiences
  • Maintain organized research repositories and ensure analytical outputs are well documented and accessible



Requirements

 Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Graduate degree or equivalent professional experience preferred  

Clearance

  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance preferred  

Experience & Skills

  • Strong research and analytical skills across geopolitics, economics, and emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to move quickly between diverse subject areas and conduct deep analytical research
  • Executive-level writing and briefing skills, including development of PowerPoint briefings
  • Experience structuring analytical products such as white papers, snapshot reports, and decision briefs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience within the Intelligence Community, military staff environments, or national security organizations
  • Experience supporting senior leadership or executive-level decision making
  • Familiarity with GenAI tools and technologies to enhance research workflows

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently from problem framing through final analytical delivery
