Hadco Metal Trading Co., LLC is a distributor of metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and mechanical grade plastics. Hadco metal products include plate, sheet, and extensive offerings of long products for general engineering, aerospace, and commercial markets. 

Hadco  branches are located strategically in California, Florida, Kansas, New York, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania with transfer stations located throughout the East, Midwest and West allowing nationwide presence and coverage. 

Work Schedule: Sunday – Thursday 1:00PM-10:00PM

Position Summary:

Safely offload raw material from evening shuttles, reload flatbed trucks for next day deliveries, and utilize Excel and ERP systems to access manifests and other material documents. 

Role & Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklift to offload material orders from overnight shuttles.
• Safely load completed orders onto flatbed trucks for next day deliveries. 
• Assure that material is loaded without damage and for optimum delivery schedules. 
• Communicate with drivers daily. 
• Scan material documents to maintain accurate inventory and shipping records. 
• Utilize company ERP system and Excel for routing, inventory, and other necessary information. 
• Comply with transportation-related policies, for proper distribution of weight per DOT and government regulations. 
• Promote safe work activities and maintain a clean and safe work environment. 

Requirements

Minimum Requirements: 

• Minimum two years of experience as a safe forklift operator in a distribution environment preferred. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Commitment to report to work on time and as scheduled. 
• Computer skills including Excel, ERP systems, and email.
• Basic math skills including measuring fractions and decimals. 
• Knowledge of the transportation industry and logistics preferred. 
• Critical thinking skills. 
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb on to truck beds as needed.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
