We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our medical team as a full-time Procedure Scheduler in Austin, TX to coordinate and manage the scheduling of surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary resources are aligned for exceptional patient care.


Responsibilities:

  • Answer a multi-line phone, speaking clearly and in a mature, professional manner.
  • Assess patient’s need, transfer appropriately.
  • Triage overflow calls, take messages from patients and voicemail.
  • Responsible for scheduling patients for follow-up appointments; verifying demographic and insurance information and document any changes in medical or health history.
  • Insurance Verification – New patient consults (contacting insurance company; verify eligibility, ID numbers, mailing address for insurance company and etc.)
  • Demonstrate general knowledge of clinic procedures and answer general questions related to them.
  • Give patients appropriate instructions for procedures, such as what they need to bring with them to the appointment i.e., films, reports, ID, and insurance cards).
  • Distributes confirmation and welcome letters.
  • Apply appropriate customer service skills and proactive communication when dealing with patients.
  • Demonstrate patience, compassion, kindness, and empathy. Provides clear explanations of appropriate patient-related policies.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with established policies.
  • Complete assigned worklog tasks accurately.
  • Adhere to the company’s Scheduling Guidelines. Reads, follows, and applies all appropriate procedures and protocols.
  • Effectively communicates with all providers and staff members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPI Health.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of eCW EMR software mandatory
  • 2+ years of experience in surgery and/or procedure scheduling preferred.
  • Knowledge of pain management care preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical environment a plus.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
  • Excellent usage of Multi phone line system and heavy computer use.
  • Friendly and professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with others.
  • Flexibility, promptness, and desire to be team player.
  • Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.

Pay rate: $19 - $20 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
