We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic at our Gaylord, MI location. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems. This role requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in heavy-duty diesel engines
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fuel systems, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Integrity, reliability, and a positive attitude

Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Experience in driveline, trailers, brakes, and clutches
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid driver’s license; relevant certifications preferred
