About the Role

Description

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure the efficient, accurate, and safe receipt, storage, and distribution of products. This role leads a team of warehouse associates, coordinates workflow, enforces company and safety policies, and drives continuous improvement in productivity, accuracy, and service levels. This role will measure safety, quality, delivery and cost performance operating the warehouse while driving continuous improvement efforts.


   

Responsibilities

  • Support the CARE values of the organization.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Assign tasks, manage labor allocation, and monitor workflow to meet operational goals.
  • Ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped on time ensuring customer satisfaction driving OTC 100%
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and compliance with 5S or similar standards.
  • Lead, train, coach, and motivate warehouse associates to achieve daily performance targets (time & attendance, corrective actions, on the job training).
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and participate in hiring decisions.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
  • Inventory & Quality Control
  • Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and root-cause analysis of variances.
  • Monitor product quality and escalate issues to Quality or Operations leadership when necessary.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of materials.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure proper use of equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement while also identifying and implement continuous improvement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, cost effectiveness, and warehouse layout.
  • Support implementation of new systems, processes, or equipment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Production, Purchasing, and Customer Service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • 5+ years of warehouse or distribution experience 
  • 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role 
  • Proficiency with WMS or ERP systems 
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification a plus) 
  • Proven track record of building a team, supervising change, streamlining processes and driving safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements 
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

 

Working Relationship

Communication is required across all levels of the organization- executive team, other functional leaders, subordinates and production floor workers. 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift/move in excess of 50 lbs. at a time  
  • Stand, walk, stoop, and perform motions for an extended period 

PPE

Safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety shoes are required. Other PPE may be required depending on the role.

Safety

This position expects to adhere to all safety rules to include the use of all require protective personal equipment (PPE). Specifically, eye and hearing protection must be worn at all times while in the production floor.

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: 

Non-air-conditioned environments; hazardous materials such paints, stains and solvents; machinery, conveyors, spray-booths and drying racks.
